Volunteers Are Our Key Ingredient!

Volunteers are essential to the work that we do. Each day we rely on their support to pack boxes, fill BackPacks, sort food, assist at mobile food distributions, and complete administrative tasks.

There are many fun and rewarding ways to make an impact on hunger in South Dakota.

Frequently Asked Volunteer Questions

"Food insecurity is real...

We’ve seen it in our community, and we felt the need to help, to give back and to get involved. All the people out here are wonderful. We’ve met some great volunteers here, and it’s just a fun place to come and spend some of our free hours.”

- Kim Stall, Volunteer at Feeding South Dakota (Pierre)
