Even with the nice weather, many people are still going to the Sioux Falls Food Pantry for a good meal.  The Pantry’s visitations are up dramatically and their inventory is dangerously low. But there is a way we can help. Joining us with the details are Jim Dawson and Matt Gassen. (Click here to see the video interview.)

In partnership with the Community Food Banks of South Dakota and our Sioux Falls Food Pantry, the Sioux Falls Hy-Vee food stores are hosting a city wide food drive. The event started on March 21, 2010 and runs through April 4, 2010 at all 5 of the Sioux Falls Hy-Vee food stores. Individuals can drop off their food donations at any of the Sioux Falls stores or if they choose they can also make cash donations. Cash donations will be used to purchase products that are needed daily at the Pantry.

Some of the items that are in high demand on a regular basis are; canned meats and stews,  pasta, beans and rice, peanut butter and jelly, hamburger and tuna helper and soap, shampoo and laundry detergent.
