Need Food

Need food? As a hunger relief organization, Feeding South Dakota provides emergency food when individuals and families have no other way to obtain it. When you visit us at Feeding South Dakota, you receive more than a meal. Through community donations and food drives, we are able to provide a 3-5 day supply of food for you and your family. This food is nutritionally balanced and carefully chosen by the recipient family for its particular needs.

Through the help of area churches, social service agencies, assistance programs and individual donations, our organization feeds hundreds of individuals simply hoping to relieve their hunger every day. Over 35 families receive emergency food supplies each day at the Sioux Falls Food Pantry. In 2012, the Sioux Falls pantry provided 655,000 pounds of food and grocery supplies to 37,500 individuals in need of assistance. The pantry in Rapid City provided 740,000 pounds of food and grocery supplies to over 43,600 individuals in need of food assistance.

Please don’t hesitate to visit your local Feeding South Dakota food bank or food pantry. There should never be a single day when you or your family goes hungry. For more information on any of our programs, visit our contact page.
